Description

Magnificent Victorian Coromandel wood dressing case by Lund of London. Veneers Coromandel, with brass inlaid decoration. Drop down panel with in the lid, with detachable mirror, and stationery compartment. The lift out tray lined in blue velvet and leather ,contains an assortment of glass and silver travelling containers, including scissors, manicure items, corksrew, needle case etc. the lower area contains four brushes in excellent condition. To the right hand side is a further lockable drawer, lined in blue leather with silk cover. Silver hallmaked for London 1858.Mark for 1858. Cut glass and Silver topped fittings with engraved name of Lady Pelly. Ivory brushes. Given as a wedding present by her husband Lord Henry Pelly. 13 November 1860.
