Unique Lise B Moorcroft large lustre vase 'Pink Sunset' tube-lined with trees with green foliage against a pale pink craquelure ground. Artists signature and date to base. c/w hand written card of provenance from Lise Moorcroft. Lise Moorcroft is the granddaughter of William Moorcroft and at least the fourth generation potter in this family. Lise completed her Honours Degree in Ceramics at the Central School of Art and Design. She set up her own studio in 1987 called Lise B Moorcroft Ceramics. She shows the same flair for design as her father and grandfather. All her pots are executed by hand using traditional processes of throwing, tube lining, under-glaze, glaze and lustre. These stages are built up by using several firings in order to create the desired effect. She not only designs her pots but also paints them.
